Athletes in education
For my genius hour project, I wish to investigate the question the relationship between male athletes and their academic achievements. The specific question I look to investigate is "how does football, baseball, and basketball participation impact high school male students' academic achievement" . I wish to investigate this for a number of different reasons. One reason is because I played all three sports in high school and know first hand that it is difficult being an all year round athlete as well as trying to stay on top of one's school work. It is hard enough for young teenagers to stay focused on academics anyways because teenagers have a lot of things in their lives outside of sports such as friends, drama, hormones, and simply trying to be one of the cool kids in school.
